Mentally Healthy Collaborative Action Network
November 14 @ 3:15 pm - 4:15 pm
An event every month that begins at 3:15 pm on day Second of the month, repeating until December 26, 2023
We are a group of parents, community members, and professionals who love our community and want to ensure that every individual in the Northeast Kingdom can experience a sense of love, support and belonging; and can thrive despite hardship, grief and loss.
Our Aspiration is that every individual living in Caledonia and Southern Essex realizes their/her/his own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, is able to make a contribution to their/her/his community, feels okay reaching out for help when times get tough, knows where and how to reach out for help, and that help is actually helpful and not further dehumanizing.
We also know that this Aspiration is out of reach for many in our community – particularly for those experiencing stigma, marginalization and avoidable systemic inequalities.
We are after transformational and equitable change through the collective actions of our group to shift the conditions that stop us from achieving this Aspiration. We are out to examine and improve policies, practices, resource flows, relationships and connections, power dynamics and mental models. We plan and implement strategies and are always open to new ideas and possibilities.
Join us when we meet monthly via Zoom on the second Tuesday of each month from 3:15-4:15pm:
